We recently visited the SATS Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport. We were on a Jetstar flight from Singapore to Phuket. Since Jetstar does not offer lounge access of any kind we used our Priority Pass to gain access into the SATS Lounge.
SATS Lounge Singapore Changi Terminal One – Environment
It was fairly crowded at 6am in the morning, there were a number of Japanese travelers, we suspected that a Japanese carrier was maybe using this lounge.
The lounge was plenty spacious and we were able to get a seat with a power outlet easily.
Power outlets were widely available, making it so easy to charge your gadgets but no USB ports available.
The schedule of the flights was displayed on monitors inside the lounge, we could easily see when our gate had opened up and any changes. No calling for boarding though, which we quite liked and added to the peaceful environment.
SATS Lounge Singapore Changi Terminal One – Food
A variety of food was on offer from sandwiches to DIY laksa, all made available to travelers accessing this lounge. There were two coffee machines, which helped cut down on the early morning rush of people looking for their caffeine fix. I had a Cappuccino, mainly because I wanted a bit of milk in my coffee but not as milky as a Latte.
Some bread and fresh fruit were quite appetizing, especially during breakfast time. Alcohol was available too, for those who are fighting jet-lag or for any other reason, it’s five o’clock somewhere, right?
SATS Lounge Singapore Changi Terminal One – Shower Room
The shower room or bathroom allows travelers to freshen up, this is especially important if you are in the middle of a transit. It was a pretty big shower room where you could even bring in your carry-on with you while you take your shower. There was a designated space for a bag, so your carry on won’t get a shower too. A connected toilet makes it convenient too.
We did not use it but we took photos to remind us that there is a Priority Pass accessible lounge in Terminal One that has a shower room and to jog our memory.
SATS Lounge Singapore Changi Terminal One – Bottom Line
This is just your typical lounge with average food and drinks available. The space it uses is big and with a variety of types of seating, which are both suitable for work and rest. The highlight was the shower room which I am sure quite a few travelers would be happy to use. To put it into perspective, Singapore Airlines’ Krisflyer Gold Lounge for Star Alliance Gold and Krisflyer Gold travelers did not have a shower facility. Overall we would come here again and would recommend if you have a long layover or want to start a vacation off with a relaxing start.
